KPV

KPV is the tripeptide Lys-Pro-Val, corresponding to the C-terminal sequence of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). As one of the shortest bioactive-sequence fragments in its family, it is a convenient model peptide for in-vitro and structure–activity work.

This listing supplies 5 mg of KPV as a lyophilised powder, with a stated purity of >98% by HPLC. Store sealed at -20 °C, protected from light and moisture. For laboratory handling, allow the sealed vial to reach room temperature before opening to limit condensation. Reconstitute according to your validated protocol using an appropriate sterile diluent, such as bacteriostatic water, added slowly down the vial wall; swirl gently rather than shaking. Reconstituted material is normally kept at 2–8 °C and aliquoted to avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
